The Circo Escola Grajaú re-opened its doors after renovations. This happened on August 28th. The Secretaria Municipal de Assistência e Desenvolvimento Social and CEDECA worked together. CEDECA is the Centro de Defesa da Criança e do Adolescente. The address is Rua Ezequiel Lopes Cardoso, 333.

The re-opening event was open to the public. It took place in two sessions. One was in the morning. The other was in the afternoon. Children from both school periods could participate. There were fun workshops. Other circus schools performed. They came from São Remo, Águia de Haia, Vila Ré, and Vila Penteado. They entertained everyone with circus acts. A snack was served after the show.

Maria Aparecida Locateli Ferro spoke. She is responsible for the Supervisão de Assistência Social Capela do Socorro. She said the Circo Escola encourages citizen participation. It aims to work with youth ages 6 to 17. This prevents social vulnerability and risk. It improves work with children and teens.

You can register for free. Do it on-site from Monday to Friday. Hours are 8 AM to 5 PM. Bring documents and proof of address.

Families commit to participating. They ensure the children attend. School attendance must be at least 75%. Care is provided in two sessions. They complement formal schooling. Each session is 3 hours per day.
