Founded in 1844, Konstfack has a rich history. It started as a part-time art school for artisans. Nils Månsson Mandelgren established it as the “Sunday Drawing School for Artisans.” Over time, it evolved. It changed names and locations. In 2004, Konstfack found its current home. The old LM Ericsson headquarters at Telefonplan became its new creative space. Architect Gert Wingårdh transformed the 20,300-square meter factory building into a modernist structure.
