Nicodemus Tessin the Younger. A name synonymous with architectural grandeur in Stockholm. Right here, in the heart of Gamla Stan, stands one of his masterpieces: the Tessin Palace. This elegant baroque townhouse, completed in 1700, wasn’t just a pretty facade. It was home to Tessin himself! The Tessin Palace then embarked on a new chapter, becoming the property of the Swedish crown. It has housed esteemed figures like the Governor of Stockholm and later, the Governor of Stockholm County. Today, the Tessin Palace stands as a testament to enduring architectural brilliance and a silent witness to the ebb and flow of history.
