Established in 1906 by decree of Emperor Franz Joseph it began as an agricultural department within the Czech Technical University. Professor Stoklasa a leading figure in agricultural science became its first Dean.
The Faculty of Agrobiology Food and Natural Resources wasn’t always a stand-alone institution. It blossomed from humble beginnings. In 2005 a name change marked a significant shift. The Faculty of Agrobiology Food and Natural Resources was born. The new name reflected a broader scope. Today this impressive institution thrives. It’s the second largest faculty at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. It’s also the largest of its kind in the Czech Republic.
