Arnost of Pardubice was the first Prague archbishop. Jan Ocko of Vlasim was his successor. Benes of Kolovraty accompanied Charles IV to Rome for his coronation. Matthias of Arras was the first builder of St Vitus Cathedral.

Interestingly the Charles IV Monument was not unveiled until 1849. There were conflicts in 1848. The statue had to be encased for protection from damage.
