This fourth mosque in Hong Kong became a beacon of spiritual solace. The Stanley Mosque’s sandy-colored walls have witnessed countless prayers. Its large prayer hall, veranda, and courtyard have provided a space for connection and reflection. Interestingly, the Stanley Mosque holds a Grade I historical building designation, a testament to its architectural and cultural significance. While not always open to the public due to its location within the prison grounds, the Stanley Mosque remains a significant landmark. Hafiz Afzal Khan, the Imam for over two decades, continues to guide the community. He teaches the Quran within these very walls, his voice resonating with the echoes of generations past.
