In 1862, the picturesque Dolnopočernický mlýn was built. It was more than just a mill. It was a statement piece, designed in the popular English neo-Gothic style. You can almost hear the water wheel churning, can’t you? The Rokytka stream tirelessly powering the mill. Imagine the hustle and bustle of daily life here at the Dolnopočernický mlýn. Sadly, in 1995, a fire swept through the mill. This charming building, however, was too important to be lost. Restoration efforts began just four years later, bringing the Dolnopočernický mlýn back to life. Today, as you stand before it, take a moment to appreciate the craftsmanship. The stonework, the arched windows – whispers of a bygone era, preserved in brick and mortar. The Dolnopočernický mlýn is a testament to the enduring spirit of Prague, a city where history and beauty intertwine.
