The Hong Kong Council of Social Service funds this important initiative. The Yip Shing Street Modular Social Housing Project is more than just housing. It represents hope and opportunity.
Completed in December 2022 the project offers 116 units. It houses approximately 120 to 140 residents. The operation period is about five years.
The Hong Kong Council of Social Service commissioned HKSKH Lady MacLehose Centre to manage the properties. They allocate flats to eligible residents. They also provide crucial social service support.
Yip Shing 6 aims to create synergy. It connects social support services with the community. It promotes green living and community health. The goal is to improve living conditions. This is for inadequately housed households.
