Picture the scene A sunny afternoon in Turin’s Lingotto district. We stand before the Stadio di baseball Paschetto a vital part of Turin’s sporting history. This isn’t just any baseball stadium. It’s a place where legends were made and history unfolded.

Built in the 1970s the Stadio Paschetto quickly became a focal point for baseball enthusiasts in Turin. Its main field boasts impressive floodlights and a 1000-seat grandstand a testament to the growing popularity of the sport. A smaller softball field with a 99-seat stand sits alongside it. Even a field for under-12 players exists testament to the stadium’s commitment to nurturing young talent. A heated indoor facility ensures year-round training a smart addition for a city that experiences chilly winters.

The stadium has hosted some incredible events. In 1983 it was a venue for the European Baseball Championships a significant moment in its history. A year later the Juventus ’48 Torino team celebrated victory here clinching the CEB Cup a competition for teams not qualified for the Champions Cup.

But the Stadio Paschetto’s story isn’t without its challenges. In March 2003 a portion of the original concrete roof tragically collapsed. The entire structure was eventually removed. Two years later a new wooden roof replaced it a symbol of resilience and rebirth.

Further renovations took place in 2009 before the World Baseball Championships. Three games were played here including a memorable clash between Italy and the USA. The stadium’s improvements included expanded batting practice areas both inside and outside the covered structure. The upgrades ensured the stadium met stringent international standards.

More recently the Stadio di baseball Paschetto played host to thirteen games during the 2021 European Championships including the final and the third-place play-off.

Today the Grizzlies Torino 48 use the main field while the Jacks Softball Torino play on the smaller field. The stadium remains a vibrant hub for baseball and softball in Turin. It’s a place where community spirit thrives and the crack of the bat echoes through the years. So step onto the field at Stadio di baseball Paschetto. Feel the history beneath your feet. You are part of Turin’s baseball legacy.
