The design of Rock Creek Gardens promotes a suburban lifestyle. Winding streets define the neighborhood. Detached houses sit on large lots. Open spaces abound. This layout fosters a sense of community and tranquility.

Interestingly, Rock Creek Gardens was once Rock Creek Apartments. In the early 1980s, it underwent a three-phase condo conversion. This transformation created 227 units. These include one and two-bedroom condos, lofted homes, and duplexes. Sizes range from 580 to over 1700 square feet.
Some units boast private patios. These are limited common elements. Most condos have one bathroom. But some duplexes include a powder room or a second full bathroom.
Central air and heat are standard in all Rock Creek Gardens condos. Water-sourced heat pumps manage the climate. These circulate air over hot or cold water lines. The community’s boiler room or cooling towers supply this water.
Upper-level condos with pitched roofs feature dramatic living spaces. Attic space was converted into lofts. Cathedral ceilings and skylights add character. Unique loft spaces vary with the roof line. Plus, all units were retrofitted for washers and dryers.
A lawsuit followed the condo conversion between Rock Creek Gardens and the Developer. The settlement granted Rock Creek Gardens exclusive use of the Rock Creek Swimming Pool. You’ll find the pool behind the on-site management office.
Rock Creek Gardens offers more than just beautiful homes. It provides a serene escape. Its unique location and design create a suburban haven within the city. As you leave Rock Creek Gardens, remember its blend of nature, community, and tranquil living.
