The school’s grounds cover 14,906 square meters. The buildings occupy 5,529 square meters. The playground offers 7,865 square meters for students to play. As of May 1, 2024, Asakadai Dairoku Elementary School has 1,070 students. These students are divided into 36 classes including 3 special support classes. The school employs 72 staff members.

The school’s designated flower is the marguerite. The school’s tree is the Taisanboku also known as Magnolia grandiflora. The school song is a cherished part of the school’s identity.

In 1967, Asakadai Dairoku Elementary School was created. It utilized the former site of the Kawagoe High School Asaka Branch. The first principal was ShigeFumi Fujinawa. At that time the school had 416 students in 11 classes.

A swimming pool was completed in 1968. A four-story reinforced concrete school building was finished in 1971. The school song was composed in the same year. The lyrics were written by Minoru Kazahaya. The music was composed by Ichiro Fujiyama. The school crest was also established in 1971.

In 1972, students from the first and second elementary schools transferred in. This resulted in a total of 1,055 students in 26 classes. An additional school building was constructed in 1972.

The gymnasium and additional school buildings were completed in 1975. A new school district was established in 1976. This led to changes in student enrollment.

Asakadai Dairoku Elementary School enriches the lives of its students. It fosters a love of learning and a strong sense of community. The school is currently undergoing expansion work. The school building is scheduled to be completed in February 2025. During the construction period, the main gate will be closed. Visitors should use the south side entrance of the school building.
