Founded in 1953, it has evolved beyond its humble beginnings as the Faculty of Automobiles and Tractors. Since 1960, the faculty took on the mantle of the Faculty of Construction Machinery and Vehicles, transforming into SiMR in 1970, a name that resonates with generations of engineers who have learned its halls.
