A wave of tranquility washes over you as you stand before the Igreja Evangelica Manancial. This isn’t just any church. It’s a testament to faith resilience and unwavering devotion. The Igreja Evangelica Manancial began its journey on March 16 2014. Pastor Alvaro Bertoni held the first service in his own home. Many people attended that initial worship.
As the services continued more people came. The church quickly outgrew the initial space. In April 2014 a rented space was secured. This allowed the growing congregation to worship together comfortably. The Lord blessed the ministry abundantly. Conversions were numerous. After just one year the church had over a hundred members.
Growth continued. The need for a permanent building became apparent. In May 2021 a significant 20000 square meter plot was purchased in the Residencial Centro da Serra neighborhood. Remarkably within just 16 months the Igreja Evangelica Manancial was able to hold services in its own new building. The first service in their own space took place on November 27 2022. It was filled with praise and gratitude.
The Igreja Evangelica Manancial’s story is a collective one. Countless individuals have contributed to its journey. They’ve shown strength determination and tireless work. This mirrors the history of Assemblies of God churches in Brazil. Pioneers have always played a role in expanding God’s Kingdom. Just like Daniel Berger and Gunnar Vingre the Igreja Evangelica Manancial has been blessed with committed men and women. They share a commitment to expanding God’s influence.
Pastor Alvaro embraced the challenge of establishing this blessed ministry. It’s a story of overcoming challenges. These challenges continue to be overcome daily. The church finds strength in their Heavenly Father’s care. The Igreja Evangelica Manancial stands as a symbol of faith in action. Through its journey one can see the great things God has done. God has remained faithful. As the prophet Samuel said “Thus far has the Lord helped us.” The Igreja Evangelica Manancial gives thanks.
