This was long before grand palaces and modern apartments graced its streets. Back then, Solec was a humble village, first mentioned in documents dating back to 1381. By 1675, Solec had blossomed into a town in its own right, a royal jurisdiction with special privileges. The Trinitarian Order, drawn to the town’s growing importance, began constructing a stunning temple in 1698.
