The area is accessible. You will find parking right at Resolute Picnic Area. The parking area includes one accessible parking space. Getting here is easy. Just follow West Head Road to its conclusion. The roads leading to the picnic area are sealed, making it suitable for 2WD vehicles in all weather.
Consider this practical information. Resolute Picnic Area has both non-flush and flush toilets. There are free gas or electric barbecue facilities ready for your picnic feast. Three picnic tables are designed with accessibility in mind. These tables are located on the north side of the concrete path, close to West Head Road. They have concrete slabs long enough to accommodate wheelchairs. Benches offer resting spots for those who want to pause and soak in the scenery. The entire picnic area is flat and step-free. Gravel, concrete, and paved pathways ensure easy navigation.
Remember a few important rules. Open fires and solid fuel burners are strictly prohibited. Gathering firewood is not allowed. Pets are not permitted. Also, NSW National Parks are smoke-free areas.

The weather here is mild. Summer temperatures average between 17°C and 31°C. Winter temperatures range from 5°C to 20°C. February and March are typically the wettest months.

Keep in mind there is a park entry fee of $12 per vehicle per day. You can also pay via the Park’nPay app. The gates to West Head close from 8.30pm to 6am during daylight savings periods. The gates close from 6pm to 6am the rest of the year.
