Did you ever hear about a library that relocated? The Sau Mau Ping Public Library did just that. Look around you. We are standing in front of Sau Mau Ping Public Library. This library moved to the upper ground floor of Sau Yun House in Sau Mau Ping Estate on July 23, 2021. The previous location in Sau Ming House was smaller, only about 290 square meters. This new space boasts 730 square meters. It offers a much more expansive experience for the community. This significant expansion demonstrates the Hong Kong Public Libraries’ commitment to providing accessible resources and fostering a love of reading. The Sau Mau Ping Public Library isn’t just about more space. It’s about modernized services. The library introduced several new features with the move. These include the Express Check-in Service and the Self-charging Service. These streamline the borrowing process and empower visitors to manage their library experience independently. It also offers Children’s Internet and Multimedia Services, engaging young minds with technology and learning. Sau Mau Ping Public Library holds more than just books.
