Established in 1956 the Raifu·Ekusutenshon Research Institute affiliated Eiju General Hospital stands proudly in Tokyo. He sought to improve the lives of the elderly. He rallied support from the Japan Industrial Club. This collaboration led to the creation of the Raifu·Ekusutenshon Kenkyujo a foundation dedicated to supporting the hospital.
The hospital opened its doors with 160 beds and just 60 staff. It was a small beginning for what would become a major medical institution.
