Now, there is also another church called God’s Image. God’s Image has a related branch in Washington D.C.. God’s Image was established in 1990. John Byon and Sandy Byon founded it. It began as a small group with just 12 members. The church started with a Thanksgiving musical in 1989. Elementary school children performed at a local church. It was meant to be a one-time performance. The children’s excitement turned it into something bigger.
In 1990, it officially became God’s Image. What began with 12 children has grown. It is now a community of children, teens, and young adults. Based in Los Angeles, it has expanded. There are branches in Washington D.C., San Francisco, Arizona, San Diego, and Seattle. It also has branches in Vancouver, Seoul, and Brazil.
Today, God’s Image has around 1,000 students worldwide. They gather weekly. They praise Jesus through singing and dancing. Their mission is to make disciples of Jesus. They also aim to create a culture. This culture should reflect His love and teachings. Through music, they spread the gospel. They inspire hearts everywhere.
Both New Image Community Baptist Church and God’s Image have a strong commitment. It is to their faith and community. They each offer unique ways to connect. Both churches invite all to join them in worship.
