High above, where the wind whispers tales of the East Sea, stands Tai Leng Tun. Tai Leng Tun awaits us. It offers stunning coastal views. Are you ready to discover its secrets?

Tai Leng Tun is often missed. Many prefer its neighbor, High Junk Peak. High Junk Peak is known as one of Hong Kong’s sharpest peaks. But today, we explore the beauty of Tai Leng Tun.

Tai Leng Tun rises to 291 meters. This peak is in Clear Water Bay Country Park. It is on the eastern side of the peninsula.

Our hike begins at Tai Au Mun. This is a roundabout with easy access. Buses and minibuses serve it. There are also car parks.

Two paths lead to Tai Leng Tun. We will take the one via Tai Hang Tun. The climb from there is less steep. It also has more shade.

Tai Hang Tun is perfect for kite-flying. The sea breeze carries the smell of barbecues.

The path to Tai Leng Tun is gentle. On a clear day, you can see Po Toi O. You can also see the Clearwater Bay Golf Course and the Ninepins. The views are breathtaking. The green hills are popular with birds and butterflies.

Soon, we reach the summit of Tai Leng Tun. Here, rocks offer a place to rest. You can climb them for better views. The vistas of Sai Kung and Clear Water Bay are unforgettable.

From the summit, the trail descends. It is steeper and rockier. This path leads to Lung Ha Wan, also known as Lobster Bay. You won’t find lobsters. But you will find an equestrian school. It offers short rides. There is also a rocky beach.

A Bronze Age rock carving sits nearby. Archaeologists and geologists are baffled by it. Geometric designs mark the weathered boulder.

Walking past the public toilet leads to Lung Ha Wan Road. Follow it back to Tai Au Mun. Along the way is Cham Shan Temple. It serves as a home for the elderly. Its Great Buddha Hall is one of Hong Kong’s largest.

Our journey ends where it began at Tai Au Mun. But the memories of Tai Leng Tun will stay with you. The beautiful views are stunning.
