In 1879, a seed was planted. That seed was Inadasho Gakko, the precursor to what we now know as Kawasaki Shiritsu Inada Elementary School. Today, we stand before this vibrant institution, a testament to over 140 years of education and growth. Kawasaki Shiritsu Inada Elementary School has witnessed a fascinating evolution. It began humbly in a temple in Soyakawara 2-chome. It later adopted the name Shimosakunobe Dai-San Inada Elementary School. By 1913, it found its permanent home here in Tamo-gawa Gen 3-chome, eventually becoming Kawasaki Shiritsu Inada Elementary School in 1947. The school isn’t just bricks and mortar. It’s a living, breathing entity. Imagine the laughter of children echoing through the hallways, the rustle of leaves in the zelkova trees by the main gate, the grand sunlit entrance welcoming students each morning. Kawasaki Shiritsu Inada Elementary School has always been deeply connected to its community. Nearby stands the Yasaka Shrine. The life-giving waters of the second Soyakawara water source are also close by. This school has nurtured generations of children, fostering their curiosity and helping them to find their path. In 2023, a teacher accidentally left a pool’s water running for five days, causing significant damage. But like the zelkova trees that stand tall at its entrance, the school remains resilient, learning from its experiences and continuing to grow.
