Let’s delve into its history. Eben-Ezer Baptist Haitian Church Corp of Tampa, FL began on April 11, 1986. Pastor Jean A. Lubin and his wife Elizabeth Lubin founded it. They had two daughters. Pastor Lubin worked with Pastor Balzoa. They worked with members of the Florida Baptist Convention. Their aim was to start a church in Tampa, FL.
Pastor Lubin was born in Jeremie, Haiti. This was on December 9th, 1940. In 1963, he received his calling. He attended seminary school in Jeremie and Port au Prince. There he met Elizabeth Lubin. After graduating, he pastored The Baptist Church in Jeremie, Haiti. He did so until he moved to Miami, Florida.
Pastor Lubin founded the Brotherhood of Haitian Pastors Committee in 1989. This ministry helps Haitian churches. It also mentors Haitian pastors in Tampa Bay.
In July 2017, Bethany Haitian Baptist ministry merged with Eben-Ezer. Rev. Doret Jean and Marie Joubert E. Jean led Bethany for 17 years. Bethany became a ministry under Eben-Ezer. Rev. Doret Jean became lead pastor. Rev. Lubin continued as associate pastor.
Today Eben-Ezer Baptist Haitian Church is led by Pastor Jean Lyron. Assistant Pastor Robert W. Daniel also leads. They are committed to making an impact. They want to do it in the lives of individuals and families.
The church offers worship services every Sunday at 11:15 AM. Bible study groups meet Wednesdays at 7:30 PM. Prayer service is held Fridays at 8:00 PM. Couple ministry takes place every second Saturday of the month.
