This school’s story began in 1934. It was initially named Tokyo City Omori Fifth Elementary School. Yoshimoto Hideji became the second principal in 1937. The school’s name changed to Omori Fifth National School in 1940. Tamagawa Ei became the third principal in 1943.
During the war in 1944, students evacuated to Shizuoka Prefecture. After the war in 1946, Bizen Takezo became the fourth principal. In 1947, its name changed to Ota Ward Omori Fifth Elementary School.
Several changes and improvements have marked its history. These include noise protection measures and reinforced glass. A special class was added in 1958.
The school celebrated its 50th anniversary in 1984. Koyama En became the fifteenth principal in 1991. Earthquake-resistant construction finished in 1999.
In 2000, the school’s name changed. It became Ota Ward Omori Dai Go Elementary School. Kitamura Tetsuo became the nineteenth principal in 2001. A regional education liaison council began in 2002. Iizuka Mori became the twentieth principal in 2004.
A new gymnasium was completed in 2006. The schoolyard was renovated. Sotowa Noriyuki became the twenty-third principal in 2015.
Tablet devices were provided to each child in 2020. Murofushi Chie became the twenty-fifth principal in 2021. Nakayama Tomoharu became the twenty-sixth principal in 2024.
Omori Dai Go Elementary School aims to be a safe and enjoyable place. Teachers collaborate to support each other. They strive to be trusted by guardians and the community. The school is planning to change to a new Daigo Elementary School.
