“Did you know Cohen Park in Annandale offers more than just a green space?” It’s a vibrant hub for sports recreation and community fun. Cohen Park is part of the Whites Creek Valley Park area. It provides a range of activities for everyone.

This park features two junior soccer grounds. Young athletes can develop their skills here. There is also one junior cricket ground. It is perfect for summer sports. Cohen Park also has two multipurpose courts. These courts accommodate tennis futsal and netball.

The park encourages casual use of its facilities. There is no booking required. If others are waiting please limit your play to one hour. The multipurpose courts have scheduled tennis coaching sessions. Leichhardt Tennis Academy uses Court 1 Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays. Coaching takes place between 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm during school terms. Court 2 is booked on Thursdays from 5:15 pm to 6:15 pm also during school terms.

Cohen Park has general facilities for visitors. Floodlighting extends the usable hours. Toilets are available for public convenience. The natural area includes an estuarine swamp oak forest. Coastal sandstone foreshores add to the scenic beauty.

Dog owners will appreciate the designated on and off-leash areas. Dogs must be on a leash during sporting events. At other times they can roam freely under supervision. The Inner West Council website provides more details on pet-related information.

A new playground was launched here in May 2018. It included a free barbecue and refreshments. The playground features an inclusive shark and dolphin seesaw. A dolphin double rocker adds to the fun. A refurbished cubby house with a slide is also available. The triple swing set includes an inclusive nest-style swing. There is a challenging play structure for older children. The playground has a synthetic grass surface. Shade cloths offer sun protection. Benches a table-style bench a bubbler and bike racks are available.

The playground is not fully fenced. A railing separates it from Railway Parade. A fence also separates the park from Whites Creek. Toilet facilities are near the tennis courts. Tennis courts are available from 7 am to 9 pm. A one-hour limit applies if others are waiting.

Ample street parking is available. The Rozelle Bay light rail stop is nearby. Revolver Cafe is located on Annandale Street. It offers takeaway and sit-down options. Gray Street Reserve is a small fenced playground nearby.
