This is a bronze statue of Lech Kaczyński, the former President of Poland, standing proudly on a granite base. The statue, which was unveiled in 2018 on Piłsudski Square, is a touching tribute to a man who lost his life in a plane crash in 2010. The statue, designed by Stanislaw Szwechowicz and Jan Raniszewski, shows Lech Kaczyński in a dignified pose, his hand resting on a heart-shaped book. The work is situated in front of the Garrison Headquarters in Warsaw, standing close to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The statue, created using bronze and granite, stands at over 7 meters tall, making it one of the tallest monuments in the city. This monumental piece is meant to forever remind those who visit of the tragic events of 2010 and serve as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by a powerful leader.
