High above Prague lies Vidoule a table mountain unlike any other. Its 371 meters offer breathtaking views. This isn’t just a pretty peak though. Vidoule holds secrets whispered through centuries.

Vidoule isn’t just about the past. Three areas are protected as a nature reserve. The northern part boasts impressive sandstone cliffs. These reveal the Peruc-Korycany layers. At Vidoule’s peak you’ll find remnants of old anti-aircraft defenses. There’s a viewing tower offering panoramic views. Nearby is the artificial cave Dante’s Hell. It houses a statue of Jitra. A small pond is home to a statue of Diana with her hounds. A hermitage also stands as a silent witness. A hermit once blessed pilgrims passing through Prague there.
Vidoule’s northern slopes connect to Cibulka park. Established in the first half of the 19th century. These slopes are rich in springs. They once supplied water to the historical aqueduct leading to Jinonice Chateau.
