Established in 1910 Mater Dei Special School stands proudly in Camden. Originally an orphanage for Sydney’s inner-city children it transformed. In 1957 the Sisters of the Good Samaritan answered a call. The Bishop of Wollongong requested a school for girls with intellectual disabilities. They embraced this mission.
