1897. A small group of boys gathered in Glena Hall, a Dutch Reformed Church building in Rondebosch. This humble beginning marked the birth of Rondebosch Boys’ High School. Rondebosch Boys’ High School, affectionately known as “Bosch”, quickly outgrew its initial space. By September 1898, Rondebosch Boys’ High School had moved to a new location on Campground and Rouwkoop Roads. The school’s motto, “Altius et Latius” (Higher and Wider), reflects its commitment to growth and excellence. Rondebosch Boys’ High School boasts a rich history. Did you know that a Rondebosch Old Boy, Allan McLeod Cormack, won the 1979 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine?
