To reach Man Cheung Po Campsite, take a bus. Bus 11 from Tung Chung Town Centre or Bus 1 from Mui Wo will get you to Lung Chai Bus Stop. From there, enter Keung Shan Country Trail. Follow the concrete path toward Lung Tsai Ng Yuen. Retrace Stage 5 of the Lantau Trail. After about an hour’s walk, you’ll arrive at the campsite entrance.
Man Cheung Po is also on the Lantau Trail. Specifically, it marks the end of stage 5 and the beginning of stage 6.
In 1955, Austin Coates described Man Cheung Po as a small settlement. Around 20 people lived there. It was a 40-minute walk from Leung Uk. A Buddhist nunnery, rebuilt in 1953, served as a principal dwelling.
