Journey back to the 15th century. Brwinów emerges from the mists of time. Brwinów wasn’t always the bustling town it is today. It began as a humble settlement. Brwinów officially became a town in 1950. But its roots stretch back much further. Located in Masovian Voivodeship, Brwinów sits about 25 km from the heart of Warsaw. As of December 2021, over 13,700 people call Brwinów home. Before its official town designation, Brwinów played a key role in local administration. It housed the Helenów parish council until 1954. It also served as the main town for Letnisko-Brwinów from 1917 to 1949. Brwinów has a rich history within Warsaw Voivodeship, belonging to it from 1975 to 1998. The town is nestled on the Łowicz-Błonie plains, a geographical feature that has undoubtedly shaped its development. Brwinów even boasts a connection to American football. On April 13, 2014, the town hosted an exhibition game between the Warsaw Eagles and the Angels Toruń. For those arriving by train, Brwinów is conveniently served by its own railway station. And for those interested in the arts, Brwinów has been home to notable figures like writer Leszek Bugajski, poet Leszek Engelking, painter Henryk Waniek, and actor Wacław Kowalski. Brwinów is more than just a town. It is a testament to the passage of time, a place where history and modern life intertwine.
