It reaches out to the community. Pastor Eddie and Pastor Stephanie Trayers lead the congregation. They’ve dedicated over 30 years to ministry. Their passion? Sharing God’s love. They met in Bible college. They served in Lakeland Florida before returning to Washington DC.
Pastor Eddie’s message is simple yet profound. Jesus saves heals and delivers. His relatable messages guide the community. His leadership inspires personal growth. He encourages outreach to those in need. His vision? A welcoming place for everyone regardless of age background or ethnicity. A place of connection purpose and freedom. Pastor Stephanie complements her husband’s work. She’s an avid teacher. She teaches the basics of Christian life. She demonstrates a life of prayer and connection with God. Summit Church offers various services. There are Sunday services at 815 am 1000 am and 1145 am. There’s a Saturday morning prayer service. This is for those who’ve received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Wednesday evenings feature services for different age groups. There’s childcare. The first Wednesday of the month includes worship communion and prayer. Summit KidsLife caters to ages 6 weeks to 6th grade. Summit Youth serves 7th to 12th graders on Sunday nights. The church also engages in community outreach. It partners with New Hope Housing and Bethany House. They support families facing crises. It partners with Giant Food and ECHO Inc. They distribute groceries to local families in need.
