After a decade in a rented hall Debre Selam found its permanent home in 1997. It now occupies almost an entire block. The church’s influence extends far beyond its walls. Debre Selam played a crucial role in organizing the first ever Feast of the Finding of the True Cross celebration in 2018. This unprecedented event involved numerous parish churches. They even obtained permission for a bonfire in Rhino Park. The tradition was followed to honor the symbolic significance of the feast.
