Whispers of a “new thing” drift through the air here at Frenchs Forest Baptist Church. It’s a church with a rich history, a history that has touched lives globally. Now, Frenchs Forest Baptist Church stands on the cusp of a new chapter. They welcome everyone to join their Sunday service at 9:30 am. People from all over Sydney’s Northern Beaches gather here. It’s a diverse community, a mix of ages and backgrounds. Whether you’re a lifelong churchgoer or stepping into a church for the first time, Frenchs Forest Baptist Church offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The services center around the teachings of Jesus, incorporating singing, prayer, and reflection. There are dedicated activities for children and opportunities for families to connect and worship together. Frenchs Forest Baptist Church believes church isn’t confined to a building. It’s about people. They encourage community throughout the week, gathering in homes, cafes, and even parks. The table, a symbol of hospitality and community, is central to their gatherings, much like it was in Jesus’s ministry. They even use “TABLE” as an acronym: Time, Appreciation, Blessing, Listening, Eating, Sent. This represents their commitment to practicing the way of Jesus. Leading this new season at Frenchs Forest Baptist Church is a new generation of leaders. Jamie Freeman, a Northern Beaches native with years of church leadership experience, serves as part-time pastor. He’s passionate about Jesus and the church’s role in the community. Ainsley Freeman, his wife, serves on the Leadership Council and leads the Forest Kids Program. She is also a writer, speaker, and part of the preaching team. Located at 617 Warringah Road in Forestville, Frenchs Forest Baptist Church is easily accessible. If you’re coming from the beaches and heading towards the Roseville Bridge, it’s on your left. Just hop in the left lane and turn into the first driveway after their sign. You can find additional activities like a monthly Tuesday Morning Tea, “The Shed” for community projects, and “Network Heaven,” which supports families in Sri Lanka. Frenchs Forest Baptist Church is more than just a Sunday service. It’s a vibrant community striving to make a difference, both locally and globally.
