These individuals contributed to the town’s unique character. The independent communities of Enzersfeld and Königsbrunn joined forces in 1970 to form the larger municipality of Enzersfeld. In 2009 the name was officially changed to Enzersfeld im Weinviertel to highlight its location within the renowned wine region.

A striking feature of Enzersfeld im Weinviertel is its church. Originally a Baroque chapel. The current church Mariä Geburt was constructed between 1908 and 1909. Architect Josef Schmalzhofer designed it. Richard Jordan handled the interior design. The church underwent a complete renovation in 2016. Interestingly the baptismal font from the original Baroque chapel is still preserved today. The church is also a place to remember Johann Baptist Stöger a lay brother of the Redemptorist Congregation. The church organ a single-manual instrument dates back to the first half of the 20th century. Several talented musicians serve as organists. Romana Schmid also leads the church choir.

Outside the church stands a stone Calvary scene. This detail adds to Enzersfeld’s blend of historical and religious significance. The town’s cemetery on the outskirts has its own historical narrative. The oldest gravestone dates back to the 19th century.

The town also features several recreational facilities. Three soccer fields two tennis courts and a turn- and sports hall cater to active residents and visitors.
