It was initially part of the Nazarene denomination. Services were held in a stone church on Avenue Road. The church later affiliated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. This emphasized missions within the church.
Bayview Glen Church moved to its current location in 1978. It is at the corner of Bayview Avenue and Steeles Avenue in Thornhill. Over the years, various pastors have led the congregation. They each brought their unique focus.
