Ever heard of a place where divers rave about what they saw? That place is Ping Min Chau Teng. Let me tell you a story about this amazing location.

Ping Min Chau Teng is an island between Jin Island and Trio Island. It is a site that offers an inspired diving experience.

Once upon a time, a dive manager named James had a knack for making everyone feel involved. He subtly suggested Trio Island as a dive destination. He knew someone would propose Ping Min Chau as an alternative. Alex stepped up and they were off to Ping Min Chau Teng.

Twelve divers boarded with a spectrum of thermal protection. They ranged from 5+2mm wetsuits to shorts and rashguards. The water was a balmy 27 degrees. One diver found that blue tights under a wetsuit were not a good look.

Anchoring in about 20 meters, the bottom quickly rises. Large rocky outcrops are separated by gullies. Visibility reached an impressive 10 meters. Some divers spotted octopus, lobster, shrimp and grouper. The long-finned bannerfish was a special sighting. Others saw Bengal Sergeants, snappers, needlefish and wrasses. The Stripey, also called footballer fish or convict fish, is a local favorite.

The current made returning to the boat an adventure. Some divers had a longer swim than expected. Everyone was safe and sound. After diving, the group celebrated James’s sister’s birthday.

One diver reported negligible visibility on the second dive. However, all divers had at least one dive that wowed them. It was often their first visit to Ping Min Chau Teng.

The divers enjoyed pomelo and melon. They got a reduced bill thanks to a spilled beer. Ping Min Chau Teng is a site that creates memorable experiences. It is a place that divers want to visit again and again.
