The Boo församling, standing right here, is a beautiful white plaster building with a high tower. It was built in 1923 after designs by the architect Martin Hedmark. The church was consecrated in 1923. The Boo församling replaced a wooden chapel that stood on the Boo estate. This older chapel was built in 1724 after designs by architect Nicodemus Tessin. The Boo församling parish church was built in order to be its own parish. The church today is a three-aisled basilica with a bell tower at its west end. The church is designed in a style inspired by Italian and southern French churches. The four columns as well as the baptismal font are all made of granite mined from near the church. The church was a success, and it is a fitting addition to its site, a place where locals gather to celebrate the faith of the parish.
