The Shimberg Health Sciences Library sits at 12908 Bruce B Downs Blvd. It is on the east side of Bruce B Downs Blvd. Look for it directly across the street from the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital.
The Shimberg Health Sciences Library is part of the USF Health Libraries system. This system serves all USF Health colleges and programs. These libraries provide access to academic journals, databases, and books. They also offer research assistance and support for students, faculty, and staff.
USF Health Libraries include the Shimberg Library and the Florida Blue Health Knowledge Exchange or FBHKE. The FBHKE is located at 560 Channelside Dr. The Florida Mental Health Institute or FMHI Research Library is also included.
The Shimberg Health Sciences Library offers various services. These include group study rooms and access to databases and resources. The library also supports USF Health curricula and research. Library classes and reference assistance are available. You can even check out laptops. The Shimberg Library also has a 3D printing lab.
USF Parking permit holders can use Lots 30-34. These lots contain a mix of student, employee, gold zone, and daily visitor parking. Visitors can use the two parking meters on the north side of Lot 30. Lot 30 is located to the south of the Shimberg Library. If the meters are full, visitors must go to the USF Parking Center. The Center dispenses visitor parking permits needed to park in the USF Parking lots.
The Shimberg Library also offers a 24/7 study space. This space is limited to USF Health students. It includes sections for both group study and quiet study. Remember to bring a sweater when you visit the Shimberg Health Sciences Library. You will be able to study in comfort.
