In 1939, Bankstown Gospel Hall opened its doors. It became a spiritual anchor in the Bankstown community. The Bankstown Gospel Hall was part of the Christian Community Churches of Australia. This national network fostered connections among evangelical churches across the country. For decades, the hall served as a place of worship. Then in 1969, another congregation, the Souls Salvation Assembly, also began using the building. Bankstown Gospel Hall witnessed countless services, prayers, and community gatherings. It shared its space, echoing with the diverse voices of faith. Sadly, the Bankstown Gospel Hall closed its doors in 2024. The property was listed for sale, marking the end of an era. Though now silent, the echoes of its history still resonate within the community it served.
