These capacities are reduced when tables are needed. The Large Meeting Hall B then seats 136. Meeting Hall A seats 112. Conference Room 116 seats 40.
Rentals include only the meeting room. A Pantry and Lobby Area are accessible to Meeting Rooms A and B. Renting these spaces is necessary for exclusive use. There is also a Patio area with a gazebo. Several smaller meeting rooms are available. Check the website for more details.
Parking is ample. The Upper Parking Lot is closest to the main entrance. It has 11 handicap spaces and 19 regular spaces. The Lower Level Parking Lot has 19 regular spaces. Guests can use the shopping mall parking lot. It has 120 parking spaces.
Tours can be scheduled by appointment. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Evening and weekend appointments are possible. The facility can be rented from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.. Bookings can be made well in advance. The scheduling calendar allows booking events.
The Owen Brown Interfaith Center strives to rent all available rooms. Another event may be scheduled nearby. There are no guarantees of exclusive use unless you rent both spaces. A facility staff member is on-site. They assist throughout the rental period. There is no extra fee for this.
Staff responsibilities include unlocking and locking the facility. They set up and break down equipment like tables and chairs. They remove garbage bags and restock restrooms. Staff also supervise renter decorating and guest behavior. They are like security custodians.
The room will be set up with tables and chairs before your arrival. This includes any agreed upon equipment. Blue painter’s tape is available for decorating. Other tapes should not be used.
It is best to allow at least one hour for decorating. Elaborate schemes may require 1.5 to 2 hours. You must pay the regular rate for decorating time.
Your responsibility is to return the room to its original state. Remove all personal belongings. Dumpsters are available for garbage disposal. OBIC staff will empty your garbage and recycling bins.
