Consider this what if the walls of Bielańskie Centrum Edukacji Kulturalnej could talk? They would tell tales of creativity and community. The Bielańskie Centrum Edukacji Kulturalnej or BCEK began its mission in the school year 2009/2010. Its grand opening occurred on December 4 2010.
BCEK is the first district cultural education center in Warsaw. Its offerings are designed for residents of Bielany and surrounding areas. You see BCEK organizes many artistic workshops educational activities theater performances and concerts. It promotes local and national culture. Thanks to varied projects BCEK plays a key role in the community’s cultural development. These projects include theater art and music workshops.
BCEK provides a wide range of activities for children teens and adults. It conducts many artistic workshops like plastic arts theater music modeling and computer skills. The puppet theater Pinokio is very popular. The Living Actor Theater led by professional actors is too.
BCEK also hosts local and national cultural projects. In partnership with the Polish Film Institute BCEK organizes film screenings. These films are Polish cinema classics. They include lectures and discussions. The institution is involved in educational programs too. These programs include History of the White Eagle and In the Footsteps of Fryderyk Chopin. They promote Polish history and culture.
BCEK has modern facilities. These include a cinema and theater hall for 260 people. There is also a ballet hall and two exhibition galleries. Modern photography and film studios are here. A gym and recording studio operate here. Since September 2010 classes in film direction and editing have taken place. Throughout the year BCEK organizes concerts shows exhibitions and festivals. Key events include school and preschool theater reviews. Literary and musical contests take place. There are outdoor events like the Bielany Educational Institutions Achievements Festival. Bielańskie Centrum Edukacji Kulturalnej shapes local cultural identity. It creates space for creative development and community integration.
To get here from the Wawrzyszew metro station it is a 10-minute walk. From the Wrzeciono 02 bus stop it is only a 7-minute walk. The Bielańskie Centrum Edukacji Kulturalnej on Szegedyńska street is open from 7 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday. So come and immerse yourself in the vibrant arts scene.
