Since August 7 1988 New Life Christian Assembly of Toronto has been a beacon of faith in the northwest corner of the city. It’s a vibrant community primarily comprised of people of Caribbean heritage. Their current home at 573 Albion Road welcomed its first worshippers on November 15 1995.
Imagine the scene on that first Sunday. Families filled the sanctuary their voices joining in joyful hymns. The warmth of fellowship filled the air. The building itself a testament to the growth and perseverance of this congregation. It’s more than just a place of worship. It houses a sanctuary fellowship hall offices a library even a nursery.
There’s a unique story behind the building. On Sundays after the New Life Christian Assembly’s service concludes another church rents the space. This arrangement is a testament to the spirit of community and sharing that defines the church. They even share a green space adjacent to the church for outdoor activities. The city granted them permission to use it.

Concerts and hymn sings add to the rich tapestry of their community life. These events are open to everyone.
The congregation’s age range is diverse. It’s a mix of generations spanning from young children to senior members. Each member contributes to the church’s unique character. They actively participate in various ministries and support each other. They welcome visitors with open arms a genuine reflection of their commitment to outreach. It is a testament to the welcoming environment that New Life strives to maintain.
