Today, as you stand before the Paróquia Santuário Nossa Senhora Aparecida, you can trace the story of its creation in the azulejo paintings that adorn the side walls. These depict the appearance of the Marian image in Aparecida and the construction of the church. The names of those dedicated parishioners who labored to build it are also immortalized on the walls. Inside, the main altar houses an image of Our Lady of Aparecida within a globe shaped like Brazil, flanked by the Brazilian and Vatican flags. Nearby, a grotto dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes offers another place for quiet reflection.
