It has become an essential part of the community. The park sits on a little over two acres. It was renovated not long ago. The renovation focused on creating a place for everyone. The designers faced some challenges. The land has a significant slope. They also had to fit a lot of features into a small urban area. But they did it and they received awards. The Potomac chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects gave the park an Award of Merit in 2017. It also received a DESIGNArlington Award of Merit in 2015. The main playground has a large climbing structure. It even has a rope bridge and climbing net. Be careful though. Some parts are quite high.
