In 1985, Mrs. Peterson, a resident of Lentegeur, dreamt of a high school for her community. Her dream became reality. Aloe High School opened its doors at 16 Aloe Street in Lentegeur, Mitchells Plain, Cape Town. Aloe High School stands proudly as a symbol of community effort and aspiration within the vibrant City of Cape Town. This public school, known also as Aloe Secondary School, serves the Lentegeur suburb. It’s officially recognized by the South African Schools Act of 1996. Children aged 7 to 15 are mandated to attend, with specific age requirements for grades R and 1. Aloe High School holds the Quintile 5 classification. This means it’s a fee-paying institution.
