This two-story building, with a basement and a total floor area exceeding 640 square meters, houses not just a main worship hall, but also a fellowship hall, study rooms, a multi-purpose room, and even a cafeteria. The City of God Ministry is a hub of activity, reflecting the dynamic spirit of its members. Think of the iconic landmarks surrounding us: the White House, the Capitol Building, the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court. The members of the City of God Ministry share their faith and the love of God Elohim with the residents and officials who work and live near these powerful symbols of American democracy. But the City of God Ministry’s impact extends far beyond the district’s borders. When disaster strikes, the members are among the first to respond. Remember the tornado that tore through Lynchburg, Virginia in April 2018? Members of the City of God Ministry drove over four hours to help with recovery efforts. They cleared debris and offered support to those affected. And when West Virginia was devastated by floods in June 2016, the City of God Ministry was there, helping residents clean up and rebuild. The City of God Ministry also plays a crucial role in keeping Washington D.C. beautiful. They’ve partnered with the Department of Energy & Environment (DOEE) on cleanup projects, collecting hundreds of kilograms of trash from parks and roadways. They haven’t forgotten the importance of community support. They’ve organized blood drives, provided back-to-school assistance for children, and even offered support during national events like the 2017 presidential inauguration.
