Ping Toi Shan is located in a district with a fascinating past. Pingshan was officially established as a New District on June 30, 2009. Before that, it was part of Longgang District. On October 11, 2016, Pingshan became its own district. This marked a significant step in its development.

The area surrounding Ping Toi Shan tells a story of cultural heritage. Southwest of the Huanping community lies the Dawan Ancestral Residence. This residence is one of China’s biggest Hakka buildings. It was built in 1791 during the Qing Dynasty. The Zeng family built it during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor. Ping Toi Shan is near a district with a growing economy. The car manufacturer BYD has its headquarters in Pingshan New District. It is located on BYD Road. Other companies like Shenzhen Changhong Technology Co. Ltd. and Jasic Technology Company Ltd. also have headquarters there.

The geography around Ping Toi Shan is part of Pingshan New District. The district covers an area of 168 square kilometers. Pingshan New District is in the north-eastern part of Shenzhen city. It’s next to Huizhou City in the east.

The area around Ping Toi Shan also focuses on education. Shenzhen Technology University is located in the district. Shenzhen Senior High School East Campus is also located here.

Pingshan District offers many activities. Mountain Maluan is a famous natural scenic spot. It has the largest natural waterfall group in Shenzhen. Jingui Village is known as the most beautiful rural camping park in Shenzhen.

The best time to visit Pingshan District is during the winter and spring months. This is from December to April. In winter, you can see plum trees blooming in Maman Mountain Country Park. In spring, you can hike and enjoy the waterfalls.

You can taste some of Pingshan District’s foods. You can try White Cut Chicken, Beef Hot Pot, and Pineapple Oil. Tangwei Restaurant offers White Cut Chicken. Zhonglongxing Fresh Beef and Mutton Hot Pot offers Beef Hot Pot. VIOYO Restaurant serves Pan-fried Steak and Pineapple Oil.
