“A place of welcome”. That’s how many students describe the Catholic Tertiary Chaplaincy. Right here at 4 Kelburn Parade, you’ll find more than just a building. The Catholic Tertiary Chaplaincy, affectionately known as “Kohanga,” has been a beacon for students at Victoria University for years. The chaplaincy offers a welcoming space for spiritual growth and connection. While the building underwent extensive renovations in 2008, its heart remained. Today, it boasts a modern kitchen, a cozy lounge, a dedicated prayer room, and a library. What truly makes the Catholic Tertiary Chaplaincy special is its warmth. Students gather here for friendship, support, and even a famous free lunch on Mondays. It’s a place to connect with old friends, meet new ones, and find solace in faith.
