Picture this. You’re standing before Faith Alive Christian Centre. Its story began not here but at Westwood High School. In 1984 Shekinah Christian Centre held its first service. This wasn’t just any high school. It’s now Morning Star Senior School. The church office a small space in Westwood Mall.
Faith Alive Christian Centre wasn’t always at this location. For years it resided at 3687 Nashua Drive. This was a more permanent home a significant step. Then came a name change in 1996. Shekinah Christian Centre became Faith Alive Christian Centre. A new building was needed. A new home.
Construction started. It took time. Finally on June 23 2002 the dedication ceremony took place. This wasn’t just a simple gathering. The Superintendent of the Western District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada preached. A founding member gave a vote of thanks. A milestone. A testament to perseverance.
