Its position was established on August 5 1999. The GPS coordinates are 45.68361048 latitude and 13.81117071 longitude. The entrance sits 323 meters above sea level.

The main entrance of Grotta Fulvio is a narrow crack. It opens at the edge of a small grassy sinkhole. This is near the Abisso Fulvio. The Abisso Fulvio has the registry number 1338/4291VG. From the base of the entrance shaft Grotta Fulvio unfolds. It reveals various chambers. They are adorned with countless pure white stalactites. Small clusters of columns also decorate the cave. Low passages separate these features. Roots covered in calcitic concretions penetrate from the ceiling. They create inflorescence-like formations.

A short blind shaft once existed. It connected Grotta Fulvio and the Abisso Fulvio. In 1991, it was found to link with Grotta Fulvio’s main cavern. Thanks to a live goat found unharmed, it could be descended without gear. This discovery offered a safer alternative entry.

Imagine the cool air. Feel the dampness on your skin. In Grotta Fulvio, the silence is broken only by the occasional drip of water.
