Could this former slaughterhouse be the epicenter of contemporary art? Right here, in Prague’s vibrant Holešovice district, stands Trafo Gallery. Trafo Gallery isn’t just a gallery. Since 2006, it has been a champion of artists making waves both nationally and internationally. This wasn’t always its home though. Trafo Gallery went through quite a transformation. It began as “Spolek Trafačka” in a former transformer station in Vysočany. Imagine, over a hundred artists and 200 exhibitions breathed life into that space. But by 2014, a new chapter began. Trafo Gallery found its current home in Hall 14, where it continues to showcase the middle generation of Czech and international artists. Step inside and experience the energy of painting, sculpture, installations, even graffiti under one roof. Each exhibition is carefully curated, often accompanied by unique bilingual publications. Trafo Gallery isn’t just about viewing art. It is about immersing yourself in a world where creativity thrives and stories unfold.
